About the Artist ![]()
As a native Phoenician, I have spent a great deal of time exploring Arizona. The structures created by nature and man alike are inspiring to me. Through the lens, I am especially drawn to the structures that have been forgotten. My wife often refers to me as a "photographer of decay."
Each of my photographs is a traditional silver gelatin print processed in my darkroom using Kodak chemicals, including selenium toner for archival quality. I hand develop each print, because for me, the development process is an important part of capturing the image. Due to this process, every photographic print I produce is unique.
To maintain value and distinctiveness, I believe that every photograph I take has an appropriate size and number. Therefore, each one is available in a single size, and my edition numbers are low.
While I have been a framer for more than 15 years and a photographer even longer, I recently began combining both art forms to create completely original works of art.
